Over the last year Iou1 and I have seen a lot of clan members stop coming on clan nights to play Socom: Combined Assault. After surveying many players and through our own experience, it's safe to say that the clan has started to abandon (demolition, no grenades.. j/k) Socom for more up-to-date games, such as GTA IV (or at least until the next Socom comes out).

I know some of you guys with PS2s may feel a little abandoned (control points, shotguns only... OK I'll stop), and that's understandable. To say the least (on my behalf), just because I have a PS3, I didn't want to stop playing Socom with my friends. I've become so tired of Socom, Sunday nights are now out. I can't justify playing for 3-4 hours, all the while, feeling agitated due to the lack of support on Zipper's servers. I guess that's what you get for free online play, but then again, if Zipper would like to keep their audience they would do a better job in making sure the quality of play is great, no matter what platform you are on.

If any of you have concerns regarding the clan, or what our plans are for the future of C420, please contact Iou1 or myself. We have no intentions of disbanding the clan itself, nor are we aband.. er.. leaving Socom completely in the dust. I.E., if a bunch of guys want to set up a sniper-only room one night, that's fine; but no one is any longer asked to show up on Sundays and Tuesdays until further notice.

On behalf of Iou1 and the rest of the clan, I want to thank you guys for your on-going support of the clan and our friendships. I hope those of you who have PS2s will upgrade to a PS3 soon, as there are a ton of great games out right now.
